This trio uses vocal harmonies and Celtic instrumentation to present a new take on traditional Celtic tunes, as well as singing their own compositions. They add texture to vocal harmonies with Irish bouzouki, tin whistle, and bodhran.

Celtic Storytelling from the oral Celtic tradition. Ann will tell stories crafted during long evenings by peat hearths, and passed from generation to generation that helped build this beloved culture.
Ballybogs
From Bend, this group has been playing traditional Irish music together since 2017, after they met while playing in sessions in Central Oregon. In addition to vocals, this group’s instruments include fiddle, bouzouki, mandolin, uilleann pipes, concertina, whistle, guitar, bodhran, flute and button accordion.
Ceili of the Valley
Ceili of the Valley Society is a nonprofit organization based in Salem dedicated to promoting and perpetuating Celtic heritage and culture throughout the Willamette Valley, primarily with events incorporating music and dance. Dancers will perform traditional Ceili dances and then invite the audience to learn a few dances with them.
Celtic Bay
This 4-member group from the Oregon coast plays a mix of lively, traditional Celtic/contra dance music and lovely airs and waltzes. Vocalists are accompanied by accordion, fiddle, whistle, guitar and bodhran.
Celtic Flo
Oregon coastal ensemble playing airs, waltzes and moderate jigs with harp, mandolin, fiddle, flute, whistle, concertina, bodhran and guitar.
Colleen Kitchen
A whirlwind tour through space and time of songs from some of the Celtic Nations. Tunes from Ireland, a sea shanty from Scotland, a Welsh lullaby and a gaita tune from Galicia. In addition to vocals, instruments will be keyboard, harp, bodhran and whistle.
Corey Murphy
Sings songs from his father’s birthplace of Newmarket, County Cork. He collects and performs music of and for the Irish diaspora, with a special focus on Lake County, Oregon.
Cucunandy
From rousing dance tunes to haunting Gaelic vocals, this Corvallis group incorporates fiddle, cello, bodhran, Irish flute, whistle and guitar in tunes and songs both traditional and contemporary from the Celtic diaspora.
Gallowglass
One of the Northwest’s most celebrated music ensembles, this group from Bellingham, WA is noted for contemporary Celtic folk music. Their unique blend of instruments combines a deep knowledge of tradition with a refreshing approach to arrangement and tune selection.
Kitchen Ceili
Women’s group a cappella singing in Scots Gaelic with humor and historical context. They will be giving a singing workshop of wool waulking songs following their performance.
Laura Zaerr
Plays a mix of Celtic tunes from Wales to the Shetland Islands. Classically trained, her playing is both refined and energetic, always rooted in a deep love of Celtic traditions.
Linda Keen and Beth Brown
With fiddle, cello and Irish flute, this duo plays a variety of tunes from the Celtic nations. Experience music from Ireland, Scotland, the Shetland Islands, the Isle of Mann, Brittany and Galicia. Historical and cultural stories will be shared.
Lisa Lynne and Aryeh Frankfurter
This multi-instrumental duo performs traditional and original music with Celtic harps, nyckelharpa, cittern and more. At the inaugural Corvallis Celtic Festival, they oversaw performances and harp workshops in the Arts Center that delighted attendees.
Loose Flagstone
Corvallis Celtic band draws from Irish, Scottish and American musical influences both traditional and contemporary. Come savor the rich variety of moods – from mysterious airs to driving and danceable reels and jigs – played on fiddle, silver flute, bodhran and guitar.
Pleasantly Frantic
Portland-based contra dance band will provide music for the Ceili dancers with two fiddles, piano, guitar, flutes and bass.
Rakish
Boston-based duo includes Maura Shawn Scanlin on fiddle and Conor Hearn on guitar and bouzouki. Rakish explores music from Irish and American folk traditions influenced by their love for chamber music and improvisation.
Sharon and Dave Thormahlen
On harp, mandolin, bouzouki, tenor banjo and guitar, a set of tunes by Irish harper Turlough O’Carolan will be presented. The performance includes historical stories about O’Carolan and the people for whom he wrote tunes.
Stone Porridge
Corvallis band with guitar, mandolin, bass, bodhran, tin whistle, flute and bagpipes. They play jigs, reels, slip jigs, traditional Irish songs, Irish pub songs and modern pop songs that were popular in Ireland.
The Nettles
An always popular Corvallis band, the Nettles play improvisational music based on traditional Celtic and American tunes. From hard driving jam music to lyrical folk jazz, this versatile group extends the boundaries of traditional music
Us and Them
On fiddles, guitar and bodhran, this Corvallis group interweaves melodies, harmonies and rhythms of traditional and modern tunes. Their music, ranging from poignant to driving, is based in Scotland and Cape Breton but wanders to other cultures as well.
ViVoce
Women’s a cappella ensemble based in Portland under the direction of Dr. Jamie Webster. ViVoce is a blend of Italian words meaning Lively Voice. The group’s mission is to celebrate diverse perspectives through songs from around the world and throughout history.
Whitethorn Crossing
With two fiddlers, guitar, cello, whistles and bodhran, this Portland group plays driving session and dances tunes, as well as singing sweet, wistful ballads.
Willamette Valley Pipers
Led by Pipe Major Nathan Wahlgren, the pipe and drum group will open both the Saturday and Sunday festival days with traditional bagpipe music as they parade into the festival arena.
